I used old bamboo shades on my porch ceiling. Just staple them up.

Go to Goodwill, get the largest piece of fabric (drapery, blanket or similar) that they have. Staple gun it up there. That would solve the problem temporarily for $10.00 or so. If no staple gun - then nails and a hammer.
Staple Clear or Black utility plastic sheeting. Canvas drop cloth.
Go to Dollar Tree and get a piece of foam core poster board for each opening, and staple or glue it up.
First thing you do is cut the power at the breaker to put Black Electrical Tape and Small Wire nuts on each wire of that loose hanging electrical, definitely. After that you can do what you want safely.
I recommend buying some waterproof drywall a bit at a time until you get the job complete and bearing with it.
