My dogs pee on and around my front walkway and in the yard. The smell is strong .What could be used to get rid of the odor and not harm the plants?

Try sprinkling the area with lots of red pepper flakes.
baking soda might help.
Gardening lime will help. Does the rain not wash away?
Buy a bag of baking soda and sprinkle over the dirt.. Then spritz after a few hours with lemon juice or lime juice.. Repeat for a few weeks
If dirt, vinegar first, it needs to be sprayed heavily and repeatedly over several days. Then sprinkle baking soda. Have a bucket at the back door to wash your dog's paws off before coming in.
Think about growing clover instead of having bare dirt. Rarely if ever needs mowing, chokes out weeds, drought tolerant, fun to roll around in. You just need to keep the dogs off until it is established, so block off and install in sections.
