Modest size garden we would like to make it work for some free time...
We have two large fir trees are in the middle of the garden and we do not cut them. We would like to use the old bricks to populate the yard and leave a place for perunike around the trees and some more flowers

Hi, Have you thought to run a hose around the trees to help decide how big a bed you would like and that would give you enough room to plant flowers (in Tubs, because the trees take all the goodness from the soil). Maybe a Seat under the trees etc. and still allow you to walk around your garden with ease. Once you have the size you like and shape you want, fo a head and use an edger and dig all around the outline. Edge it with bricks Border edging etc. and there you have it. Enjoy!
