What can I do about hard water stains in bottom of toilet?
I have 2 brand new toilets and one of the 2 continually gets a brownish deposit on the bottom of the toilet bowl. We have city water trucked in and placed in a sistern, so I understand that the water is hard and I can't do much about that. I'm not referring to the ring that builds up, I'm specifically referring to the bottom of the bowl where the water empties that gets the build up.
Other than a weekly treatment of either bleach and/or vinegar & baking soda does any one have another idea how to avoid the build up?

Look for a product in the dollar stores called "The Works". they make drain cleaner and toilet bowl cleaner. My last house had stuff that NO product on the market would touch including trying to "chip" off deposits on bowl bottom with the back of a tooth brush. Put "the works" toilet bowl cleaner in the toilet. Let it sit over night. No scrubbing. GONE.
every bit of mineral deposit and stains. Also use in your toilet tank. Sometimes they are really dirty and cause the bowl stain. Pour in your tank, let sit for a few hours. GONE and clean as can be.
I now use a little in the toilet once a week when I clean, swish with the toilet brush. Clean as can be.
Yes to The Works!!
A product called the Works keeps the stains out of my toilet bowl. Amazing results first time. Available at Walmart.
Thank you to all that helped trying to solve the issue. I finally found the solution. Lysol Power Toilet Cleaner 10X the power. Serioulsy my toilet has not been clean in over 6 months because of the deposit in the bottom of the toilet. I'm super happy that I found the cleaner to work.
