Strawberries are getting moldy!
I have been buying strawberries in the plastic container from the grocery store and they mold within a couple of days. I put them in the refrigerator but still have the problem. Any ideas of how to avoid throwing away beautiful strawberries?

There is trapped moisture in the bag and the dark, cool refrigerator is the perfect environment for mold. When you buy them - rinse them off and put in a strainer to dry on your counter - you can store like this in your fridge or once they dry - put them in a clean dry ziplock bag.
Recently googled this and discovered that put dry, unwashed strawberries in glass jar with top in coldest part of fridge helps them stay fresh 3 times longer!
I have never heard of this, but I will try it. Thank you
