I have a chain link fenced in yard - what can I plant to have a yard?
11 trees were removed and my yard is too plain except for a patio close to the house. Can anyone suggest something to spruce up the yard so it has some flare to it

My suggestion: decorative grasses are generally easy to grow and add some flair.
You could plant a fast growing green vine type plant in front of the chain link fence to pretty it up. Or you could spray paint the fence black. Go to YouTube and search for Beautiful yards enclosed wiith chain link fence. Also Pinterest will give you some ideas. I find for myself YouTube is more user-friendly. Post Pics when you are doing your Garden so we can see your ideas and it will help others with similar dilemma's
Decorative grasses also add winter interest if you wait until spring to cut them back
First check out your area of worthy plants to grow in your neck of the woods. Ask a nursery specialist! Walk around your neighborhood and take pictures of what you like. If possible ask homeowner what is the name of the plant you like.
vines Like honeysuckle, sweet Autumn, clamitis, and wisteria would grow like crazy and the chain link is perfect for attaching itself to. Hedges would hid that fence as well. Your local nursery would be able to recommend what grows in your area.
