The area under my huge oak tree is totally bared. What can I plant under it that will grow?
my boyfriend said that you'll need to treat the ground with lots of lime. Work it into the soil and then wet it really good. Do this for about 3 day's. Then you can use Zoysa grass seed to plant,
It depends on where you live. I suggest that you go to your local plant nursery to see what they keep in stock. Local nurseries will always have plants that grow best in your area. Remember, their object as a business is to make a profit so it makes sense that they would have plants that grow well in your area. Let then know what type of plant you're looking for - ground cover that grows in shady areas - and I'm sure they'll be able to help you. Another option is to contact the Cooperative Extension Service for your state. They are a government service and also can help you figure what will work best. Wishing you the best.
Not knowing where you live or your planting zone, here are some options for you!
Thanks to all of you so very much.
