Use a fertilizer with weed control if you aren't opposed to it. Pull it when you see it and bag when you now. Within 1 to 2 seasons it should be all but eliminated.
Hi Karla. Crab grass is an annual that reseeds itself. The best way to get rid of it is to prevent the seeds from growing. I apply a crab grass preventor in spring to my lawn. This has a pre-emergent that does not allow the seeds to germinate. If you see any in your flower beds pull that out. Good Luck!
