We bought a cape( house with dormer windows), 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 downstairs, no closet space anywhere. Were considering converting bedroom into closet. Want to know the best way to go about it and get functionality, like should we include a day bed ( for guests) or should we go full force with closets and all. Also, we're on a tight budget. What's the best supplies to do a closet on a budget

Hey Cheryl if you're on a tight budget you could separate the room with ah hanging curtain into a nice daybed area for guests and then a "walk in" closet for you. Closet systems are silly expensive. If you build your own (hang your own rods and shelves etc.) it is much more reasonable.

Yep! There's lots of different hangers and options out there that would be less expensive than buying a custom closet system etc. You can buy prefinished boards, have them cut to size and also install those yourself too. Here are some DIY ideas!

Hi Cheryl, you can create a walk in closet with Cabinets and shelves, the shelving could be the divider to allow the other half of the room for guests. you can use cube storage in there as well, and don't forget to give yourselves somewhere to sit when you are getting dressed. hope this video gives you some inspiration,
