Great idea! Before you get to excited, check your local Building codes with your local municipality to see if there are any restrictions. If not proceed! You will need at least a general contractor, electrician and HVAC professional. Plans need to be drawn up and submitted in order to get your permits and inspection schedule. There are two big issues with this. First, garage floors are usually sloped. If you want it to feel like part of the original house, you can build a level floor over the slab. The second issue that is rarely considered until it's too late is that the heating and air conditioning system doesn't reach out there. The system was never designed for the long run to the garage area. I've seen this repeatedly. There are solutions, but none are perfect. You can run duct work through the garage attic and Damper the long run or look at a mini-split ductless system to handle only the garahe/bedroom area.
it’s a pretty big undertaking to turn the garage into a living space, such as a master bedroom. In my opinion the cost of the remodel even if done to perfection, is never reflected in the resale of the home.

I agree with Naomi's comment about first off checking with local building codes/regulations. Also perhaps you might want to get a professional Realtor's thoughts on the change and how this might affect the value of your home and how it fits into the culture of your neighborhood.
Employ a Builder to get for you the detailed requirements needed ie: Planning Permission, Building Regulations etc. as the Garage is probably only single wall with no insulation and also the floor is probably without damp proofcourse.
