Hi Bev! Headboard? I made a simple one with a piece of plywood (you can buy partial sheets so you don't have to cut it), 2x4's (we cut one in half, but the lumber yard can do that, too), quilt batting, spray adhesive (to adhere the batting to the plywood), a pretty sheet and a stapler. You can bolt the legs of the headboard to the bedframe, or attach it to a wall.
Go to a thrift store. Buy an old door. Paint it the color you want and hang it on the wall behind the bed.
