    actually MILK sprayed on the plants so affected works quite well!

      there are other preparations available in the garden sections of nurseries and chain stores that sell plant herbicide/fungicides, etc. but try this .. if it works -- Great -- if not move to the 'big guns' ... and in maintaining your plants, good air circulation is beneficial , don't 'crowd' them -- but some plants -- roses, zinnias, Phlox, etc are particularly susceptible to Powdery Mildew --

    I had that with some of my hydrangeas one year. Landscaper recommended something that I needed to buy at garden center (apologies for not remembering name). However, I do remember having to be extra careful and vigilant about treating and avoiding spreading it via my tools. Good luck!
