Just use Elmers glue, it has the same properties as Modpodge but is less expensive.
1/2 Elmers Glue 1/2 water
this can help you but for me (sometimes feeling a little lazy) I would just buy the Mod Podge using a coupon

I found a recipe on Pinterest and it worked well, but it spoiled, so if you plan on using it for future projects just use Elmer's or buy the ModPodge.
1 part water and 2 parts white glue. For example: 1/2 cup water mixed with 1 cup white glue.
