All frames even steel doors are wood. Only commercial steel doors have metal frames. For the type of door is a personal preference. Most people go for steel doors for security but the metal is thin and dents easily. Wood is timeless and is as strong as steel doors just more maintenance. Fiberglass is practically maintenance free looks like wood has a wood core and can't be easily broken into.
I have had all 3, and love my fibreglass, wood-look doors. They stay true, don't dent or crack, are very solid and secure.
