Ideas for simple, economic, attractive gravel paths for the backyard?

Bark chips would be more in keeping. They would look more natural in this setting.

My local stoneyard has a clearance area with some less than perfect stones that is quite economical pricing compared to piece pricing for perfectly cut stones. Another place to get rocks is at a homesite sometimes the contractors and builders will allow you to remove some of the excess rocks while the foundation and construction is underway. Craigslist is another opportunity sometime sometimes to get a deal on hardscape materials. Hope this helps.
