How to refresh Kitchen cabinet doors?
Hello.
I live in a rental unit. Thus, I do not want to put too much money into the place.
My issue is these 80's-style kitchen cabinet doors. White melamine with oak trim at the bottom.
What can I do to refresh the look and bring me into this century?
Thank you.
Darlene

Hi there! There are some great temporary fixes for you! Contact paper, chalk paint, or peel n stick tiles.
The renter's best friend is contact paper. To limit work to remove, only remove an inch or so around each side. Use a ruler and fold back, cut. Also, find a design stencil you like, use it to cut out contact paper and attach. simple to apply, simple to remove. If you have a cricut or similar it gets even easier.
If you want to update walls, not recommended for kitchen, use fabric and liquid starch. make sure not to use on flat painted surfaces! soak pieces in liquid starch and apply to the wall (s), smoothing like wallpaper. It peels off and wash up is simple. choose fabric you like and when you take it down, wash, dry and use for another task. no waste!
