I don't know that pallet wood would be strong enough for a handicapped ramp. It is very thin and not a very good quality wood. I would chose to use treated wood so that it is stronger and lasts longer.
Hi, j: Agreeing with Naomie here. This looks like a good ramp. We have had a wheelchair at our house since 1975 and the ramps sometimes need to be rebuilt, but you want to start as sturdy as possible. Good luck.
