Just bought a beautiful empty antique frame. How to use it for decor?
3 ft x1ft stripped with pretty carving--I like it stripped down and I like it empty. Need ideas for decorating with it.

Jeanne....I attached cording, yarn, etc. to the back, purchased some small clothespins from Hobby Lobby and hung family pictures.
Hi Jeanne, since it is a piece of art in and of itself, hang it as such. Used in a foyer over a sofa table, it would be lovely. Or on an accent wall. Happy decorating!
Beautiful as it is. Just be sure to hide/ replace the hanging wire so it’s not visible. Hang vertical or horizontal, as suits your space.
Hi Jeanne, Just hang it on the wall, No need to do anything at all if you like it empty. Display it as a stand a lone "Work of Art".............
I have several beautifully carved antique frames that I’ve used to “frame” smaller antique mirrors. I absolutely love it. And like jcraw said, reposition the wire hanger.
I had a frame like this and I stapled chicken wire to the back and then hung in my bedroom for hanging earring on, has a great surface area to fit a lot of jewelry but is SO much more organized and cute now!
