Nothing sends to grow in this soil. Planted so many plants and most have died.

work with a local greenhouse/nursery and your local Agriculture Agent for ways to amend the soil and plants that will be successful in your specific area

Take a soil sample to your County Agricultural Extension Cooperative. They will tell you exactly what and how to build your soil to grow whatever you want. In the meantime, start a compost pile.

Find out what area you live in and what plants will live. We have clay soil too and put lots of plants in large pots around our property.

If you don't augment your soil, it will continue to be a negative for plants. I don't know where you live so don't know what to advise on plantings and is it sun or shade? Purchasing some good organic compost and good soil and digging it into your clay would help a lot. Clay has all the elements for growing plants but needs to be broken up for the plants to get the nutrients. Some good Espoma plant tone is an excellent fertilizer to use. You don't top dress with these products, you dig it in and if possible rototill. I agree with Sal, taking a sample to your County Agricultural Ext. Coop. is a great ides. Take the soil sample from several clay places not just one.

    Wish you well.

You need to amend the clay soil and remove as much rocks as you can. Rototill or dig in topsoil, peat moss, and compost.

You need to amend and honestly I would begin with raised beds because it will be a lot less frustrating and save you hours of labor in the long run. Getting the soil right takes time and you have two options buy organic soil from a local nursery or amend what you already have.

I'm sharing several links that will help and how to get your best started with the right materials. Think all natural, we've have rocky clay and I've been gathering the rocks and turning them into a neat walk path and of course amending that clay. Things are coming together nicely.
