I would love some deck ideas please...
We are going to build a deck about 6" off the ground and in a small space. We want to really pack in some multi-uses and some "WOW!". We are thinking of adding a hot tub and a privacy fence. I would love some techno advice, plans or ideas.

they have some nice looking closers. not lattice and the panels looks like stone. but if you do not use a hot tub. the make a door so that you can use it for storage. I put pallats under mine so the lawn mower does not sit in the mud, water, snow under the deck.
Hi Janet here is a picture of a deck we built
we were thinking of taking the rail (on the angle) down and putting a hot tub there
We used 1x4 and 1 x 3 boards on the street side for privacy and the added lattice on top for a design element
used white metal balusters instead of wood ( which were a pain to install, but worth it)
Hope that gives you some ideas, questions? I am here, have fun!
We could save by NOT doing the white metal balusters and white caps, they were pricey. It is a big deck it measures 15 x 18 but it is done in pressure treated lumber. We went to one of the big box stores to the "Pro" desk and they calculated how much lumber we needed and we modified from there till we hit the budget then I added the extras :)
Good Luck
I found a great list of HOMETALK tips!!!!
Keep in mind if you attach it to the house you mist have permits and inspections. You will also need power for the hottub and any lighting. And your homeowners insurance might go up. Maybe some surround sound and drive your neighbors nuts lol. I am envious.
