Small space, 4 steps down need ramp for blind, arthretic pup
I have to build a ramp for my blind arthritic pup (long story but pup is only 7) that will fit in a small area. Other pups will be using it also but trying to figure out best way to make as I don't have the option of going back and forth so that the ramp is not too steep for her to use. Not sure how much space you have, but would building a ramp with switchbacks work?
What is the size limit you are working with (how big can the ramp be)?
For use inside or outside?
When we built our ramp, we made sure to use a surface that had good traction and also added cross pieces down the ramp (like a ladder) so our dog had a sense of how far they'd walked. You don't say the size of the dog but a width of 12" should be fine for a big pet, narrower for a small dog. Really wish you had a pic of where you needed this so I could advise on how to anchor it.
