You can still purchase a screen door that will work.
You can buy a screen curtain from Amazon. I got rid of my screen door because the wind and caught it too many times. I wasn't going to have a screen door then summer came and the dogs like the door left ajar when they go out. I needed a screen. Take a look at them. They're not expensive and they serve the purpose. They hang with Velcro (I used a couple of thumb tacks to reinforce top and corners. They open down the middle and there's several magnets that flip it back closed. If they gap, you need to move the center top up a little until it closes as it should....another good place for a thumb tack. If you hang them right, they work great!! Mine is on it's second summer and still looks good except for the part at the bottom that the new puppy tore. I've bought a new one but haven't gotten my Mr. Goodwrench to put it up yet! I think it only cost around $15.
Hi Heather,
If a screen door is not an available option for you, then the screen curtain could do the trick. I have seen these in stores where they sell the products "As seen on TV" section, they have them at Ollie's, Boscov's, and of course Amazon.
You could screen in your porch using strong velcro . Attach one side of the velcro to the screen using something like gorilla glue and then staple the other side of the velcro to the edge/top of your porch ceiling. Have the screen overlap in the front so you can pull back to the sides for entry. Allow enough screen to drape the ground so you can tuck it in and secure it with potted plants or anything with weight.
