What should I use as Tile Sealer?
I have big, pretty stone (?) tile in my kitchen/dining area. I think it maybe should have had a sealer of some kind, that was never done. The tile is kind of porous and rough, and hard to clean. What would a floor of that type have been sealed with & can I do it myself?

Yes, you can & yes it should have. Go to lowrs or home depot, get tile grout cleaner heavy duty. Clean floor then wash away ccckeaned with warm water and old rags. Let dry a whole day then use sealer from Lowe's or home depot high end us best. Less fumes and easiest to apply, quick drying. My experience lead me to know to let dealer dry 48 hours before cleaning or walking on it. Go on a mini vacay and then enjoy ew beautiful floors!! Should be done every 4 years or so depending on what manufacturers say on sealant package. Btw I sealed 2 bathroom floors, didn't need revealing for over 4 years . Good Luck!! :D
Hi Gail. It sounds like you may have slate floors. They would have been sealed with stone sealer. Purchase at your local stone yard or on line. Good luck.
