Area that needs work
Help needed on what to put on this side of the house.
we Have totally renovated our ranch home inside and out. I am very happy with our landscape plan as well , but need your suggestions for what to put on the side of the house that is quite shady. It gives us access to the large yard and a tractor or standing lawn machine needs to be able to get through the area. to cut the lawn. Here are some pics.
Type of fencing they gives us a gate access to the yard below. ??

A shaded area is more difficult to grow things. I suggest growing hostas up by the house and maybe put an interesting arch just to break up the expanse of the windowless wall there.
a lattice going up that wall would bring some great color and not take up your circulation space
An arch with pink climbing roses wide enough to fit the ride on mower to get thru would add color and still leave space accessible.
Might consider a large faux window (with small panes) shutters
and window box full of wonderful flowers. It would certainly enhance that blank wall completing the look of this lovely home
Ferns, coral bells, bleeding hears, and hostas love shade.. The ferns don't flower but are a wonderful backdrop to other plants that do flower.
