How do you get rid of flour bugs? I keep getting them.
Even after I clean out my closet and put anything that has flour in plastic bags, I keep getting them back. Is there something (other than bug spray) that is none toxic I could put in my pantry

This will most likely disgust you, but grain bugs can hatch after purchase, given sufficient time and heat. They can invade multiple cabinet areas of your kitchen, resulting in having to dispose of the contaminated grains and scrubbing all cabinets and their contents. The foolproof remedy is to freeze all flours, oats, rice etc. for a minimum of 72 hours prior to using. Place the flours in freezer bags or containers that are freezer proof. This beats seeing movement in your baking bowls, particularly after having added multiple ingredients, or having to dispose of large bags of grain items.
have you tried putting bay leaves in the flour (make sure container is air-tight). Been working for me for years.
These little guys come from the processing plants already in the bags.
Thank you
Thank you
I keep my flour in the freezer, never had bugs.
I keep my flour in the refrigerator. I get bugs from other items that have flour - cereal, dog biscuits, croutons, etc. I just can’t seem to get rid of them.
And another thing - the flour is in the laundry room (which can get warm).
