How to treat branches I bring in to bring outside inside?
I walk at sunrise by the Chester River on MD’s Eastern Shore & gather interesting branches & limbs inside to put in my vintage copper trough. How do I treat these to prevent bugs & intensify their beauty? Thanks,

Great question! The branches you have look really cool! Check out this Pinterest link I found, has a lot of inspiration on the page.

Clean them thoroughly then just spray them w/ clear acrylic spray. Both Krylon and Rust-oleam make them but I find Walmarts brand works just as well and costs far less!
If you want to keep the natural look, place in a clear or white plastic bag, tie up and set in the sun for a few days. If there are any bugs, they will crawl out and die. White ir clear so you can see if there are/were any bugs. Rinse branches with the hose, set in sun to dry again and decorate as desired.
