How to clean fireplace glass?
The glass on the doors of my fireplace are black from last winter. Vinegar didn't work. What can I use that smut off of those doors?

You can use some of the ash from the fire place and mix with water to make a paste. Spread this on the glass and rub it as you would any type of cleanser. Then wipe with a paper towel. You can also try some oven cleaner on the glass but read labels carefully and find one that is fume free.. A magic eraser might help remove stubborn spots. Also, you can try a paste of baking soda, or something like Bon Ami or Bartenders Friend. Just be sure glass is cool when you use any of these. And you can also try a flat blade razor (like youd use on a ceramic top stove) to help remove stubborn areas.
