How to update a shower surround with tile/paint?
I would like to change the look of the boring white "plastic" that surrounds my tub/shower. But I really do not want to pull it out of the wall.

I've read there’s some question about how durable self-stick tiles are on actual shower walls.
I took a 2x4 block and tacked a piece of 320 grit sand paper to it then sanded several different widths of lines into my surround. Used Rustoleum paint in several colors and dressed it up. I like it and get comments on it from those that see it.
