Linda
I just let nature take care of it and it is doing well
Linda sent you to a good site for just about any plant care. What kind of hibiscus did you get, perennial or tropical, also where you live makes a big difference in the care of your hibiscus plant. In my neck of the woods tropical is not hardy year round, so it needs to be brought in once the fall nights start getting colder. I actually found one this year that says it is hardy outside until 32 degrees! Normally I put mine in the garage for the cooler nights and don't bring them into the house until the days start having lower highs. I also have found that my hibiscus flower bloomed profusely if they don't get all day sun, they seemed to like later afternoon sun, but not as much hot afternoon sun. With the way the weather has been here this summer, they haven't bloomed quite as well as last year. I hope this helped you. Make sure you check out the site Linda gave you, they also have other articles on hibiscus, so check them out, too.
