I don't know about a pond but a simple, dramatic fountain is very easy. Find a large, beautifully colored pot. Install a recycling water filter - ask at the hardware store. Fill with water and turn it on. Imagine, a col bolt blue pot, 4 1/2 ft high - Water spills over the top and recycles back into it. Beautiful and refreshing
Hi Erin, we set up a beautiful pond in Arizona by digging a hole and then putting down a plastic sheet liner. Then we put stones and gravel around the edges to hide the liner. After that we added some pond plants and allowed the grass to grow tall along the edges. We hid a water hose in the grass and allowed it to drip constantly into the pond to circulate the water and make up for evaporation. Then came the WalMart goldfish that grew huge! Just make sure that at least half the surface is covered with plants to reduce algae. I hope this helps!
