How can I Extend my laminate countertop?
I am wanting to Extend the Width of my peninsula countertop, so that I can do a faux finish WITHOUT putting ALL new countertops on. I would like to do something like stonecoat countertop using an epoxy from the company “Stone Coat Countertops”

I found this video that shows how to use Stone Coat on top of laminate. I believe adding a support base, with a plywood (sealed) to keep it level would be applicable in your case.

Why not just add a wooden counter top on wheels that you can move wherever you want. Who says the extension has to be made of the same material?
