How do I save my vynal plank floor?
We purchased and remodeled our home 5 years ago and spent 7000.00 on flooring that we loved! But it’s buckling. We live in Hawaii, and I can’t afford to just start over and moisture is a factor because of the humidity. Help!

Hopefully you are able to repair it. It’s disappointing to hear all of the problems and several of the problems come with professional installation. Unfortunately it could also be the cleaning practice or spilled water.
‘’I wish you the best with your floor
Are you running a dehumidifier? Check your purchase papers. Chances are you might still be under warranty. Call the place you purchased them from and have them come out and take a look to see exactly what might be needed to repair. That is where I would start.
Your floor should not buckle. Hawaii is humid but much of the southern US has humidity of 95% in the summer and very low in the winter with heating. One cause of buckling is expansion of the flooring. During installation there should have been about 1/4 inch of space left under the baseboard between the flooring and the wall. Pry off one of the baseboards and see if there is a space. You can also call the company where you purchased the flooring and ask there advice. If it was professionally installed I would call that company to see what they can do.
