They are leaving dirt piles and holes all over my lawn. I have tried to drown them, but they are still here and digging.
If they are Japanese beetles, you need floating covers for the raspberries, NEEM for the impatiens (NEEM must make contact with the beetles, and can require multiple applications), or SEVIN (which should be applied by strictly following directions. Apple trees may be able to be sprayed with a nursery approved product. Next spring, treat your yard with Grub X before they become beetles. You can place a lure trap far away from crops you want to protect.
What we did to keep them off the plants was to cover the plants with nylon netting we got at Joanne's fabric store, you can knock the Japanese beetles into soapy water when they land on the netting.
Next was to hang a Bag A Bug setup on a distant tree, as far away from your plants as possible, they are drawn to the pheromone just above the bag, they enter the hanging bag to never come out again. At the end of the season, just dump out the bag.
Have you tried diatomaceous earth?
can you have Japanese beetles?, I have them on my roses
Use the liquid concentrate Sevin for Japanese Beetles....works like a charm!!! Don’t use those beetle bags, they attract thousands more of Japanese beetles. My neighbor learned the hard way last year.
Ok that sounds good , is it s liquid spray?
