How to know what size range hood/fan to get?
Wanting to update our range hood/fan and the tile below it running across the wall. Next will work on painting (laminated) cabinets. Is removing a range hood and replacing it with a new one a DIY project for the DIY impaired?

MEASURE THE OPENING AND WIDTH.
Replace with one that is the same width for the space. They are a DIY project otherwise they wouldn't be selling them. Instructions come with installing the new one.
Turn off the electricity. Unscrew every screw in the range hood. Pull the hood out. Unplug the hood from the current. Scrape off any residue of the tiles and remove the tiles. Replace the tiles and clean up. Plug the new hood into the current. Lift the hood into place and screw it in. Clean up any residue. Turn on the electricity to the house. Enjoy, Enh! ☺️
It's not the toughest d-I-y job, but remember that you might have to make electrical connections if your fan/hood is hardwired.
Certainly the backsplash part of the job is easily done by a DIY-er.
