Draw removal
I needed a file cabinet and a few days later found one that was put out for trash ( with the keys!) Overall I am happy with the find but would like to spruce it up with a coat or two of spray paint. I want to match the interior and exterior, but cannot seem to remove the drawers. Is there a way to get the drawers out for this project?

There’s often a catch along the drawer slides that you hold down (or up) and that lets you pull the drawer all the way out. :)
If you open a drawer. Feel with your fingers between the side of the drawer and the cabinet. There is a tab on the drawer that hits against the cabinet. Bend the tab in on each side and the drawer will come out. When replacing the drawer just bend the tab back out.
