You can but molded appliques at Homecenters and Hobby Lobby or Michael's.
I’ve seen others mold and glue shapes & flowers etc... on Hometalk,....to wood furniture but cannot remember how they did it.
It's really easy to make a silicon mold and then use cement or plaster of Paris to create the embellishment. We did something similar here (https://acraftymix.com/blog/2018/07/30/make-egyptian-cartouche-diy/) and the detail you get is beautiful
You can also use clay that you bake like Premo. Use a mold pop the clay out and bake. Then glue on furniture.
