test with some hand sanitizer on a cloth, or high percentage rubbing alcohol (do a little spot first to make sure it works and doesn't discolor the leather)
You can try rubbing alcohol.
Hand sanitizer!
They sell products for this problem but there are some home remedies too. Just be sure to wash the area well afterwards so it doesn't eat the leather up.
Idea 1) Swap a Qtip with rubbing alcohol over the area then clean and dry well..
Idea 2) Hairspray the area, then clean with soap and water.
First, I'm going to say please don't use 'home remedies' on leather. Secondly, I'll direct you to an answer given on Yahoo that explains this, plus tells you what you really should do. Please let us know how it goes!

Baking soda and toothpaste can be used. Apply the paste to the spots on the leather. Wait for a couple of minutes and use a damp cloth to wipe away the baking soda and toothpaste mixture. It’s a tool I use to lift the permanent marker ink’s grip off the leather.
Alcohol.
