What can I do to keep cats out of my rock/plant beds?
We are cleaning out some old flower beds up against our house and would like to fill them with some decorative rock. What can I do or use to keep the cats from using it as their personal litter box? The neigborhood has a lot of cats!

Scatter moth balls in the area.
I used moth balls. This will smell, but it worked!
Keep your cats inside. They will live much longer without the threat of dogs, hawks, owls, foxes, CARS, Animal Control, etc. Add some shelves on your walls---by a window. Find which toys attract them. Then you will have happy, SAFE kitties. Please bring them inside to safety! Please!
Spray your rock area with Ruta graveolens essential oil mixed with water. Grow Ruta graveolens, lavender, orange mint, lemon thyme in large planters, placed near this area.
