How to get rust off punched tin?
I have a very old hutch my grandfather's brother built. I'm guessing in the '30s. I have refinished all but the upper half. The 4 doors (2 upper & 2 lower) are made with each door inset panels of punched tin. They all have rust on them. I have scrubbed but can't get then clean. Don't want to take them out. It would just take away from the piece. Any suggestions on removing rust? Thanks for any suggestions!

I can't find any information on punched tin, but look through these videos and see if you can find something that will work on your pieces, maybe just experiment with a few of them.

All great videos. Super tip from Rose. Once you do get them clean you can spray them with Rustoleum paint for metal. Eiither remove them or tape off the cabinet parts you don't want painted.
Try a Grafite spray, Coat the area, let set and then work in with a dry cloth, maybe a fine grade metal sand paper to lightly remove rust. repeat if necessary.
