How to camouflage or beautify a 2panel louvered wood?
Does anybody have any ideas about how to camouflage or beautify a 2panel louvered wood, cheap, bi-fold door covering our closeted furnace air handler? It's at the end of a very short hallway.

Can't cover it up, need the louvers for circulation. Try to paint a scene on it?
Kelli is right. The louvers are for combustion air for the furnace. Do not cover them up.
You are pretty much stuck with the doors unfortunately. You could paint it the same color as the walls to try to make it disappear, or paint or embellish it to make a statement. Good luck!
I would remove the louvers and install decorative metal screening. It comes in a variety of patterns and colors and still allows for air circulation. You may need to rout out a notch on the back side of the door for the screening to set into. You probable will also need small decorative trim to cover up the holes left by removing the louvers. I did a similar project on my clothes closet using woven grass cloth and sisal rope to cover up the holes. The grass cloth came from repurposed rollup blinds from Pier One. I used the same blinds on the windows to tie it in.
Thanks for the ideas.
