How can I make my backyard into an oasis? Welcome all suggestions. Thx
I live in North Las Vegas, Nv which means lots of heat and sun. How can I make my backyard into an oasis or sanctuary without having my plants die due to heat, wind, and the hot sun?
My patio is narrow and have no room for a shed to put tools away, so I have them in a trash bin. But overall, I would welcome your help in making my backyard into a beautiful oasis or my sanctuary without costing too much.
Thank you. 🙏🏽 Namaste 🙏🏽

I live in Henderson and I know your pain. If you can sew get canvas then make some sails with grommets in them to hang for shade. If you don't sew there is a guy on Lake Mead that makes canvas boat covers and he could make you some. Paint your walls a cool, peaceful color, or colors, and put in a water feature. Use Rustoleum plastic paint for the garbage can.
How about starting with sail shade? Then you might be more successful with at least a few plants. Sedums do well, so does lavender. Takes a bit of water until established. Fall and winter months are perfect to start planting. I am in the same zone, Castaic, CA. See if these sites help. Still 100° with the ac running . . .
