How do I get sap off the beams on the deck??
The wood is now 8 yrs old & yet sap continues to bleeding thru paint, stain etc..how do I clean it off??

Try Murphy's Oil Soap. If it's hardened too much to remove with cloth & soap, scrape then lightly sand.
Unfortunately some wood never stops bleeding.

I hate to say it, but the knots need to be shellacked before painting in order to prevent that. If you feel ambitious you could sand down your deck, shellack and wait to dry, then paint the deck. š
