How to prune Pearl Bush?
I was given "pearl bush" and it grew all summer but looks like vines. Parent plants were upright shrubs. How do I prune? Can they be pruned to be shrub-like next year?

To prune pearl bush, cut away dead stems in late winter or early spring. More aggressive pruning will result in more shrub like appearance.
In late winter or early spring, cut away dead stems or stems that were broken over the winter. Wait until after flowering is finished to cut back stems to the strongest buds.
