Google is where I always start. Yellow Pages are good too then research them on Google. If you have any top rate nurseries in your area they might have master gardeners on staff to help you. Some have affiliated landscape designers on staff too. You can try your hand at it either the old fashioned way with graph paper and pencil, or on line space planning. If you are on Nextdoor.com, I have found several great trades people from neighbor referrals.
In Ohio we have what is called Annie's list. Look for local recommendations in your area. Put in zip code with local recomendatios and see what pops up in your search engine.
