How to cover a kitchen wall with reclaimed old wood?
I have a blank solid kitchen wall I want to cover with old barn wood or reclaimed wood. I found a site that sells reclaimed wood, but with my wall measurements, that was out of my budget ($990), any ideas?

You’ve seen the pallet walls pictures? Do you own a belt sander? Stain the palettes gray, let dry, then sand off the high spots on the pallet wood and then touch up with a dry brush. Clear coat with satin or flat poly and voila.

Yikes! That is far too much money. Visit your local lumber yards, many now sell reclaimed wood. Even big box home improvement centers sell reclaimed wood. Here are more ideas:

Try some of the places locally that sells reclaimed wood. You must be very careful with old wood that you’re not bringing bugs in. Another option is to buy lumber, distress it and stain it, hang and seal it.
You can use pallet wood or rough cut cedar that can be found in a home improvement center.
