How can I make my fireplace look bigger?
I have a gas fireplace. It’s solid wood; mahogany. It’s 3 feet 8 inches tall and 4 ft. long. I just think it would look so much better if it was taller.
Eliminate the coffee table and it will open up the room. Or can you use the trunk as a table instead?
Thank you for the suggestion. Very helpful.
Hello Susan,
Plain light walls. keep furniture light in colour or cover in a cloth. Try to make your furniture blend in with the walls or use the colour of the walls for Curtains and cushions and accessories......A Photo or size of the room might be a good idea. To plan the layout of your furniture. Take the measurements and transfer them into a plan of the room, say (1" for a foot) Then measure your furniture and cut out the shape using the same scale. Cut out furniture and label up. You can then arrange furniture to your heart's content on the plan of your room - don't forget to put in windows, doors and chimney breast if appropriate. Have fun..................
Always adding a big Mirror also does miracles in making the room look bigger, works every time!
