I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Hi Patsy, would you mind elaborating? If its a plant you're considering trimming a good rule of thumb is to wait always until either first frost or VERY early in the spring.
Hi Patsy. I'm Cindy. When it comes to pruning, I always use the Old Farmer's method, which is: from Spring thru Fall, only prune in month's that have a "R" in their name. For example, you can prune in April, but not in May. May does not have a R. So, now that it's SeptembeR, go ahead and prune away. I like this method because it's easy to remember. Best of luck Patsy.
Hi Patsy. If you are talking about perennials I cut mine back around this time before the frost. Some I cut back through out the summer as they start to fade. The Cone Flowers I leave for the birds to eat the seeds.
Thanks for all the answers. I like the one that is so easy to remember. Cut back in months with letter R in them😊
