How do I keep my shower grout from becoming mildewed??
I had my shower retiled & the grout keeps getting mildewed. Should it have been sealed or is it the fact that the bathroom is small & there is no ventilation?

Both. You can help.ot by doing a thorough cleaning and seal it now. Have an exhaust fan installed.
Yep! Clean it, seal it, and ventilate it.
No ventilation is a BIG problem. You need to install an exhaust fan, open a window if there is one, or even a portable fan will work.
Vinegar is what you use for mold and mildew. Vinegar kills the mold spores, bleach does not.

No ventilation. I have same problem as you do Adela. Both my bathrooms don't have windows. I find it very difficult to keep up with my cleaning because of it.
You can plug in a dehumidifier for after you take a shower and that should really help. Hope I helped you.
Yes seal it. But clean with bleach to kill mildew and mold. And don’t rinse out your mouth then spit in shower. Our mouths are really foul and bacteria grows pretty quickly ( pink stuff).
Do you have a ventilation fan in your bathroom? Might be worth the expense. Good luck.
Hi Adela - This is the shower spray and method that we use to keep everything in check. But yes, ventilation would be a huge help too. Hugs, Holly

After showering , use a squeegee on your shower walls , this will get the excess water off , then if you don t have an ventilation can , or window make sure you leave the door open for a while.
