How do I create the frame and make a fabric window cornice?
I redid my camper cornices a few years ago which gave me an idea to put fabric cornices over this large, boring widow in my morning room which is open to the living room (open concept home). I want to use the fabric from this chair to tie the colors and patterns into the whole house. However, it’s very pricey, and I’m afraid to mess up! I’ve stared at this dull window for two years now! Can someone give me specific steps to do this project, so I have the confidence to get this started finally? I want the cornice to be one piece that goes across all three windows.
Thanks in advance!
The chair is the fabric that I will use.

Try doing a search on Hometalk and Pinterest for "cornice boards". I have had cornice boards in the past and they knock out a ton of light. With a view like you have, I wouldn't do anything other than enjoy it. It's gorgeous! However, we all want change sometimes, so perhaps a valance hung as high as you can get it with just enough length to cover the tops of the windows and then panels on each side of the windows, again covering just the bare minimum. This way you will have a new look, but maintain that great view.
