How do I redo a kitchen in a 1970's mobile home?
I am open to all ideas. I have no clue where to start. Cabinets are so outdated but I can't afford to replace them, countertops are worse than cabinets. I want to brighten room up and add a touch of elegance, please help me.

Cabinets can be painted, it is a lot of work but worth it. Start with cleaning well, then use a good stain blocking primer, sand lightly the prime again. Use a good acrylic paint. Use a paint sprayer if you can to eliminate brush marks. If not use a mohair roller. Rustoleum makes a cabinet transformation kit, as well as a counter top kit.
Giani makes a counter top kit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb3FPyj3IPw. After all that is done, paint the room a nice fresh color.
You can paint the cabinets and the countertop. Using a light color will brighten the kitchen. New paint on the walls would be another where you can brighten the room. As far as the floors go, laminate flooring isn’t super expensive and is easy to install.
My aunt had her cabinets refinished a few years ago with Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation kits. It looks great and has held up well. You would have to sand and prep your cabinets. https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/transformations/cabinet-transformations-dark-kit
I agree with Zard. A fresh coat of paint to your the cabinets will transform your kitchen completely. Here is a quick tutorial of how to do it without sanding or sealing them. https://youtu.be/Ko5CsLqNIZQ Good luck!

As for the countertops, you can check with a local Habitat Store or Craigslist and see if they have any countertops, granite slabs, or even wooden doors that could be cut and installed in place of your current countertops. (if wooden door, make sure that you sand it down and re-seal before using)
